More than 50% of people reported worrying daily. If you’re one of those people, read this:

Worry can originate from: • Stress • Conflict • Busyness • Life change • The unknown You have to take an active role to stop worrying. Here are 9 ways to worry less:

1. Examine your thoughts. What’s the root? Many times our worry comes because we haven’t properly examined our thoughts. Ask why until you’ve found the root cause. Many times it’s at the surface, we just haven’t taken time to sit back and reflect.

2. Journal Journaling accomplishes a few things: • acknowledge • release • process In many cases, writing your worries allows you to realize how insignificant they are.

3. Meditate Meditation helps you empty your mind and release the worry. Find an app that has guided meditation and practice daily.

4. Breathing exercises Deep breaths send a message to your brain to calm down and relax. Simply breath in slowly through your nose and out through your mouth. Google breathing techniques for specific strategies.

5. Gratitude Reflecting on what you have to be grateful for redirects your thoughts to a more positive place. As you reflect, you can realize the insignificance of most worries.

6. Get active Activity helps release stress from your body and releases endorphins. Something as small as a quick 10-minute walk can do the trick.

7. Process it with family or friends Talking about your worries will help you gain perspective from others.

8. Just start Procrastination can cause us to ruminate, which creates a negative cycle. Starting before you’re ready will “jump the shark” and force you to deal in reality.

9. Seek professional help When worry starts to impact your daily life, find someone professionally trained. • poor sleep • bad eating habits • lack of motivation • declining performance at work There is no shame in therapy. Your mental health is too important.

Know you're not alone. I'd love to hear how you deal with worry in your life.
