In this latest video, I preview double GW29: 👇🏻

Q: Is it worth selling Son to accommodate Kane? How does Kulusevski compare to Son? I think Spurs are a team to target in the weeks to come, making plenty of their assets great FPL differentials. They double in GW29 followed by two favorable home games in 30 and 31 where...

... they averaged over 2 xG per home game under Conte. Even in the long term, Spurs' assets could be a good hold as a significant majority of their remaining fixtures are against teams in the bottom half of the league. Kane is simply on another level since Conte has taken over...

...He remains Spurs' biggest goal and assist threat ranking top for big chances and big chances created since the Italian took over. In fact, Kane is best in the league for non penalty xGi since Conte took over! This goes in line with Conte's comments on using Kane much closer...

... to goal as opposed to his previous managers. In my opinion, Kane is a better option than Son for (c) in GW30: Kane v Son (since Conte has taken over) Mins per big chance involvement: 54 v 66 Mins per xGi: 111 v 145

Kulusevski has won his shirt for at least the short term, with five attacking returns in his four previous starts. What I like about him is that he’s extremely cheap and allows for significant upgrades in your squad elsewhere... (read below)

Kane v Son v Kulusevski (last 5 matches they have started together): Big chance involvements: 9 v 7 v 5 xGi: 4.4 v 3.1 v 1.9 As you can see from the comparison above, Son in isolation is better than Kulusevski due to the quality of chances he is involved in. However, I don’t...

... think the difference is big enough to justify the extra ∼£5m in price between them. Son gets the better quality of chances but Kulusevski has actually recorded more shots, shots in the box and penalty area touches than the South Korean. It’s also worth noting that Son...

... has been subbed thrice in the previous four matches while Kulusevski has been subbed just once. I can understand that a transfer from Son to Kulusevski feels sideways. Results may not go immediately your way but I expect them to eventually due to the GW30 (c) swing.

Q: Saka, Martinelli or Kulusevski? I prefer Saka to Martinelli. He is nailed for 90 unlike Martinelli who is prone to getting subbed earlier. I also like Saka’s match-up v Leicester this week in particular - Leicester are third for chances conceded on their left flank this...

... season which is where Saka will be operating. I prefer him to Kulusevski as well given the fact that Arsenal have more of a chance of doubling in GW33 than Spurs.

Q: In this section, I cover Doherty, Reguilon and Robertson. I really like the look of both of these this week. First I come to Doherty: Here’s the xGI of all defenders in the league since Conte has taken over: Trent: 7.9 Reguilon: 4.6 Cancelo: 4.5 Robertson: 4.3 Doherty: 3.3

Conte’s wingbacks have an insane amount of involvement. Reguilon and Doherty are right up there, despite having played more than 60 minutes just seven and four times under Conte respectively. I prefer Doherty to Reguilon as Conte mentioned very recently that they have to find...

... the “best solution to help him (Reguilon) not have many injuries” which suggests he may opt to protect/rotate him every now and then. Doherty has recorded four big chance involvements in his previous two starts and just had his best game in a Spurs shirt by a mile...

... Conte singled him out and praised him in his post match press conference which means that it’s his place to lose at the moment... (read below)

... Spurs defence started off really well under Conte but their defensive numbers have regressed: Conte first 8 matches v Conte previous 8 matches xG conceded per game: 0.78 v 1.59 Big chances conceded per game: 0.3 v 2 I would just treat their defenders as midfielders...

... with clean sheets being a bonus. At just £4.7m, you can’t ask for more than that. Moving onto Robertson: After Salah and Trent, Robertson is clearly the third best Liverpool asset to have and has a double this week followed by an extremely favourable fixture against...

... Watford in Gameweek 31. This is how his numbers read from Gameweek 13: Among all defenders since Gameweek 13: Chances created/xGi: 2nd Big chances created/Penalty area touches: 1st With the best baseline BPS among all Liverpool defenders, Robertson is comfortably...

... the most likely of them to get bonus points too. He’s on set pieces which allows him to be so high in the chance creation charts. This gives him lots of avenues to points and hence serious haul potential. No wonder he is averaging 8.2 FPL points per match during this spell.

Another thing I like about Robertson is that he allows a very easy move to Joao Cancelo later. A lot of FPL managers will have to re-distribute their funds to bring in Cancelo without a Wildcard later but Cancelo is now actually cheaper than Robertson so technically by getting...

... Robertson now, you can save a transfer to generate funds in advance at the same time taking advantage of his double Gameweek this week. He does possess a slight rotation risk threat with Tsimikas lurking but I personally think that Tuesday to Saturday is a good enough...

... turnaround between games this week for Liverpool and then you'd expect him to play the tougher Arsenal fixture anyway so hopefully he should be safe.

Q: Should James be kept or sold? This depends on how strong your bench is or if you have a Wildcard in hand. If you have a weak bench or a Wildcard in hand, it makes sense to sell James. Initial reports suggested that James has been ruled out for at least the next four...
